The house is situated on a newish (first opened in 1984) development of about 50 (never counted) 7 kilometers from Taree on the road to Wingham. All of the houses are on small acreage (2 - 9 acres). The neighbouring houses are at least 100m away. The house was built in 1985. The land is zoned Rural Residential and comes under the jurisdiction of the Greater Taree City Council. The landrates were $728 for the current fiscal year. The house is 33 squares in size, and is constructed of clinker bricks with a colourbond roof. It has 2.5 rated insulation batts in the ceiling.Services include, town water, electricity, telephone, sealed roads, garbage collection. The house has a Council approved transpiration septic system which is sited a reasonable distance from the house. The house has abundant storage, with a walk-in wardrobe to the master bedroom, large built-ins in the other three bedrooms, walk-in pantry, walk-in storage room, large storage cupboard in the family room. Tasmanian Oak has been featured in the kitchen cupboards, en-suite vanity and wall panelling in the lounge room. There is a slow combustion fireplace in the open living area, which comprises the kitchen, dining and family rooms. There is a dishwasher installed in the kitchen. There is berber wool carpet in the lounge room and bedrooms, cork tiles throughout the rest of the living area. It is 3.5 hours drive from Sydney, following many years of upgrading and duplication of the Pacific Highway. There is still more of this to be done, but all of the bad bits have now gone, and it is a fairly comfortable drive.
